ABOUT EVOCATEUR

 

Each ÉVOCATEUR piece is handmade by skilled artisans in our Connecticut studio
and can take up to five days to fabricate.

 

We use the following materials to make our jewelry: 22K gold leaf, sterling silver leaf, brass, enamel, Swarovski crystals.
• We use a centuries-old process...An Italian hand gilding technique.
• We use a brass base for our pieces; we find it is the best for strength and durability.
• We layer on the gold or silver leaf by hand and burnish it into the surface of each piece.
• We apply images using a proprietary image-transfer technique.
• We use tweezers to apply small pieces of gold or silver leaf over the image. These flecks of gold or silver leaf will adhere
to different parts of the jewelry each time, making every piece one-of-a-kind.
• After we apply each layer of leaf, we use a sealing process - a clear enamel that protects and enhances the jewelry’s surface.
• We use Swarovski crystal elements in some of our designs for added depth and interest.
